Privacy Policy
Effective 4 October 2026
- We store what is needed to run your account and keep your business data safe. The app runs on servers in India, with encrypted backups.
- We never sell your data or use it for advertising. You can ask us to access, correct or delete it, and download a full copy yourself at any time.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, mobile number and business name.
- Your business data: the invoices, bills, items, customers, suppliers, payments and expenses you enter, so you can use them on any device.
- Payment records for your plan, and the GST invoices we issue to you.
- Basic technical logs needed to keep the service secure and fix problems.
How we use it
- to run your account and keep your data in sync and backed up;
- to process payments and issue GST invoices;
- to send service messages such as sign-in codes, receipts and important changes;
- to keep the service secure and meet legal obligations.
Your customers’ details
You decide what details of your customers and suppliers to enter. We process them only to provide the service to you, and you are responsible for having a lawful reason to use them.
Storage, security and retention
The app runs on servers in India. Data is encrypted in transit and protected by access controls. Every change is also copied, within seconds, to backup storage with Cloudflare (Asia-Pacific region), and a full encrypted backup is made every night, so your data survives a server failure. We keep account data while your account is active, and payment records for as long as tax law requires (currently at least 72 months).
Backups are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted. Something you delete in the app, or an account that is closed, disappears from the app straight away but remains in older backups until they expire; backups are only used to restore lost or damaged data.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, nominate someone to act for you, and raise a complaint. Write to support@invoicehero.in. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
You can download all your business data yourself at any time (Settings → Data → Download full backup).
To close your account and delete your data, email support@invoicehero.in from your registered email address. We confirm the request is yours, then delete your account and business data within 30 days and tell you when it is done. We keep only what the law requires: payment records and the GST invoices we issued to you. Deleted data disappears from backups as they expire, within 12 months.

We will post changes here with a new effective date and tell you about important changes in the app or by email.
